The 18th Hope Meeting, which will take place in Yokohama, Japan, from February 28 to March 4, 2027, aims to bring together young researchers from the Asia, Pacific, and Africa regions with Nobel Laureates and other distinguished scientists.
Young researchers from the following fields will be invited to the event:
Physics
Chemistry
Physiology/Medicine and related areas
Accommodation, transportation, and travel insurance expenses for 4 young researchers to be nominated by TÜBİTAK will be fully covered.

Young researchers applying for the meeting must meet the following requirements:
Be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye.
Be born after January 1, 1987.
Be a current PhD student or have received a PhD degree after April 2, 2021 (maternity leave periods are excluded).
Have not attended any previous Hope Meetings.
Demonstrate a highly successful research background and an awareness of the societal impacts of scientific knowledge and applications.
Expect to establish long-term scientific partnerships and conduct advanced research through participation in the meeting.
Possess a strong desire to actively participate in exchanges of opinion and discussions during the meeting.
Have a level of English proficiency sufficient to actively participate in the meeting sessions.
Be available to attend the entire meeting program between February 28 and March 4, 2027.
An up-to-date CV and other supporting documents (certificates, etc.).
Any of the following documents proving the applicant's English language proficiency:
YDS, YÖKDİL, TIPDİL (Score of 80 or above; the document must have been obtained after 2021).
Other foreign language certificates recognized as equivalent by ÖSYM, listed below (the document must have been obtained in 2024 or later):
PTE (Score of 78 or above)
CPE (Grade C or above)
CAE (Grade A or above)
TOEFL iBT (Score of 96 or above)
An official document proving that the applicant is currently studying or has completed their bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree at a university where the medium of instruction is 100% English.
Turkish and English master’s and PhD transcripts for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
